Project Manager - International Development and Cooperation

      

Our Company manages EU-funded projects in sectors including trade and economic development, private sector development, regional integration, E-commerce policy, circular economy and institutional capacity building.

 

The Project Manager will be involved in both business development and project management. Specific responsibilities for this position include:

     • Business development:

          - Identify new relevant tender opportunities with the EU or other donors;

          - Conduct marketing and fact-finding missions for high priority business opportunities;

          - Set up competitive consortia and identify suitable expert candidates;

          - Edit project qualifications and tailor experts’ CVs for specific tenders;

          - Support the preparation of technical offers including inputs coordination, writing and editing;

          - Prepare and review internal budgets for tenders;  Represent and promote EMI towards clients, experts and partners;

          - Other business development work as required.

     • Project management:

          - Provide backstopping support to ongoing projects, including field visits when appropriate;

          - Coordinate the management of long-term and short-term expertise on projects;

          - Oversee the financial and administrative management of assigned projects.

          - Contribute to the preparation of monthly and six-monthly technical and financial reports;

          - Other project administration work as required.

In addition, the Project Manager actively contributes to the overall team’s efficiency by working in close collaboration with his/her colleagues, making suggestions for improving the business unit’s day-to-day operations and participating to the best of his/her abilities in corporate initiatives at area or group level.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

To be successful in your application, you will be expected to demonstrate the following:

          - Relevant university’s degree, Master’s degree will be an asset

          - 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.

          - General knowledge of EU development assistance programmes.

          - Previous working experience in the private sector preferred

          - Previous experience in o BD efforts such as consortium building and methodology writing / coordination o providing support to the management of EU-funded projects

          - Excellent oral, presentation and report writing skills

          - Proactive and able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously

          - Highly motivated, organised and detail-oriented

          - Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel

          - Proficiency in French and English mandatory; other languages will be an asset. DURATION We offer a full-time permanent contract.
